FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method of mineral raw materials separation lump by lump as to the component content involves lump ore supply lump by lump to the measuring zone, gamma-radiation detection, and separation of ore lumps into benefication products as to the specified setting range value exceeded by the signal. Gamma-radiation detection is performed for three size grades with the same setting range equal to the setting range for medium size grade. Rate of ore lumps movement in the measuring zone for each size grade is taken equal to the product of the rate value of ore lumps movement in the measuring zone for medium size grade by the ratio of linear size of the ore lump with average mass of the measured size grade to linear size of the ore lump with average mass in medium size grade being sorted, and the obtained value is multiplied by the ratio of the number of recorded pulses per second from the ore lump with boundary content of useful component of the measured size grade to the number of the recorded pulses per second from the ore lump with boundary content of useful component of medium size grade.
EFFECT: improving separation process effectiveness.
