FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for preparation of corundum and mullite-corundum fireproof heat insulator includes mixing of starting row materials (kaolin and bifluoride ammonium) at mass ratio 1:1.11-1.35, calcination and baking at temperature 1310-1400°C.
EFFECT: claimed method allows to obtain corundum and mullite-corundum fireproof heat insulator with corundum content not less than 50%.
