MANUFACTURING METHOD OF COLD-ROLLED STRIP FROM LOW-CARBON STEEL Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC B21B1/28 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention is provided for increasing of yield and quality of metal-roll at manufacturing of cold-rolled strip, principally of thickness 0.5-0.6 mm, allowing increased strength (σ_B not less than 790 N/mm²) and plastic (δ₁₀₀ - in the range 1-5%) properties from low-carbon grades of steel and applied in the capacity of packaging. Method includes removing of scale, cold rolling on continuous mill and stepwise recrystallisation annealing of reels. Excluding of cracking on near-edged sections of strip and increasing of yield of metal roll with required set of mechanical properties of finished cold-rolled strip by all volume of reel is achieved ensured by that hot-rolled etched semi-finished rolled products, containing 0.13-0.17% of carbon and 0.4-0.7% of manganese are subject to preliminary thermal processing at temperature 560-590°C of duration 9-11 hours, after what it is implemented cold rolling of heat-treated semi-finished rolled products with total reduction of cross-sectional area 72-76%. If necessary after cold rolling it is implemented low-temperature thermal processing of strip and following its pinch rolling.

EFFECT: increasing of yield and quality of metal-roll.
