FIELD: physics, measurements.
SUBSTANCE: application: to determine residual resource of steel railway bar. Time of item operation is fixed, acoustic detectors are periodically installed on bar outside zone of its rest on brackets, it is gradually unloaded fully, acoustic emission is registered, which is used to determine residual resource of steel railway bar, and in case acoustic emission is not available, residual resource is estimated by total running time of bar, moreover, previously grippers of unloading devices are brought under cups of vertical insulators and shifted upwards until suspensions of these insulators to bar diverge from their initial position, according loads are registered, picked up, for control unloading at-least loads are applied to bar, which are directed upwards in close proximity to vertical insulator between it and nearest support bracket.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of steel railway bar residual resource detection.
