METHOD OF ESTIMATING RESIDUAL LIFE OF HEAT EXCHANGER STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01N29/14 G01N29/04 G01N3/32 G01N25/72

Abstract RU 2722860 C1

FIELD: heat exchange.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics of heat exchanger structures using acoustic emission, mainly shell-and-tube heat exchangers in refrigerating units or systems. Substance of the method consists in experimental investigation of influence of defects in the form of local deformation of samples of structures of heat exchange device on critical load using methods of nondestructive testing, calculation of influence of the specified defects on residual resource of structures, carrying out full-scale tests of the heat exchange device with control by acoustic emission method, according to the results of which defects and residual resource of structures are determined. Feature of method is that critical load is evaluated with allowance for geometrical parameters of defects in form of local deformation of heat exchanger structures, residual resource in case of plastic deformation of heat-exchange device structures at preset mode of its loading during full-scale tests is determined by calculation of number of freezing and defrosting cycles of working product to failure of heat exchange device.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in the accuracy and reliability of the obtained results for estimating the lifespan of heat exchange device structures with allowance for defects in form of local deformation, without increasing labor intensity and volume of preliminary tests of samples.
