FIELD: physics, tests.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of tests during engineering survey in agriculture, construction and tractor construction, in particular to methods for determination of physical-mechanical characteristics of soil layer of mostly low and medium density. Method for determination of physical-mechanical characteristics of soil layer, having mostly low and medium density, includes vertical and shift loading of layer as per Heaviside law by means of loads application via stamp with creepers, measurement of vertical and shift deformation of layer and determination of spontaneous linear and shift modules of layer deformation and parametres of experimental creepage curves at least at any three values of deformation time t1, t2 and t3, limited by time of measurements performance. Measurement of vertical and shift deformations of layer is performed in cylindrical coordinates, when vertical and shift loads are applied to stamp simultaneously. Shift load is applied to round stamp with creepers installed underneath evenly along circumference in radial direction closer to edge of stamp with length of not more than half of its radius in the form of torsion torque applied to its axis and realised in the form of load along tangent to circumference passing through middle of stamp creepers. Vertical and shift deformations of soil layer are measured by indirect method through vertical and angular shifts of stamp axis. In this case when stress tangents are determined under stamp, load and area of stamp are detected based on given dependences, and also relative shift deformation of layer at each moment of time is determined from given dependences.
EFFECT: improved mobility, universality and accuracy of tests, lower labour intensiveness and material intensity of tests.
