FIELD: civil engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves vertically loading ground layer of mainly low and moderate density according to Heavyside law by applying load via die, measuring vertical deformations of the layer and determining layer deformation modulus. The soil and ground layer is loaded with difference in time first in vertical and then in shift direction. Shift load is applied in turn in two opposite directions first in one of them and then some time later, practically immediately, in the other one. Vertical soil and ground layer deformation is measured directly under the die and shear deformations are measured under the die and in layer depth. The built shear creep curves are adjusted by increasing them using empiric coefficient calculated with shown formula. Instantaneous linear and shear moduli of layer deformations and empiric creep plot moduli are determined from data taken at arbitrary three time moments t1, t2, and t3 restricted with measuring times and given relationships. Stress distribution under the stamp is calculated by applying given expression.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness tests; high measurement accuracy; increased information capacity of the obtained results.
