FIELD: physics; signalling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test-signal generating devices for monitoring fire or flame infrared sensors and is meant for use in fire safety systems. The test-signal generator has housing, in which there is a broad-band radiator - standard incandescent lamp connected to a battery supply, the radiation spectrum of the said lamp of which includes all infrared radiation bands, characteristic of all types of flames and explosions, as well as visible (optical) radiation. A detachable band-pass filter is fitted into the window on the housing, which transmits infrared bands, characteristic of the given type of flame and explosion, as well a visible radiation. The filter can be replaced with another detachable band-pass filter from a set, the spectra of which are characteristic of each type of flame and explosion. The band-pass filters are interferential. They can be made from a multilayer thin-film structure on a substrate made from leucosapphire, film-forming materials - a pair of refractory oxides: silicon dioxide (SiO2) - zirconium dioxide (ZrO2). The films are made through evaporation of the initial substances using an electron beam in a vacuum.

EFFECT: easier use, reduced labour input into monitoring and more reliable monitoring.
