FIELD: physics; signalling.
SUBSTANCE: method for electronic protection of a seal involves transmission of encoded information on the state of the seal, for example, on authorised or unauthorised action on the seal, on the accumulator charge level, from an embedded transceiver with a power supply to a base station, every 0.5-1 min, and determination of integrity of the seal from unauthorised action. The code of the seal, which shows the number of openings, is changed. This allows for using the seal several times until its complete physical wearing.
EFFECT: provision for remote monitoring of presence and state of sealing devices, used for locking containers, used on mainline railroads.
