FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for protecting transient radiation track detectors. High-voltage resistor fuse comprises insulator-material substrate, resistive titanium-based layer and current-conducting pads. The said substrate is made in lithium niobate able to emit oxygen on heating in reduction atmosphere and to allow surface heating rate in the range of (0.22 to 1.5) K·m2/W·s for the first microsecond of heating. Resistive layer starting thickness varies from 20 to 50 nm, the said layer being coated with titanium dioxide layer. A resistive layer doubles as fuse and is applied directly of dielectric substrate surface. Which is why, on carrying current corresponding to operating conditions of protected detector, a portion of heat is extracted to substrate to make fuse heating temperature lower than that of destruction. In the latter case, fuse doubles as load resistor for detector circuit.
EFFECT: serviceability at high voltages, higher reliability and stability.
