FIELD: physics; communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunication systems, and particularly to systems and methods for using direct sequence codes in data transmission in systems with a broad frequency spectrum. In one version, the system contains at least one communication channel, which uses two different orthogonal transmission codes and corresponding parts of the available orthogonal code space. Data parts, processed by the communication channel, are demultiplexed to different streams and coded with corresponding different orthogonal transmission codes. Streams, coded with different orthogonal codes, are then combined and transmitted over the same communication channel. One version uses at least two Walsh codes of different length (+- and ++--) so as to create use of three quarters of Walsh space, not used by existing low-bit-rate channels.

EFFECT: increased output of direct sequence broadband communication system.
