FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery and intensive therapy and can be used for early prediction of thromboembolic complications following abdominal surgeries. Blood coagulation is analysed by evaluating international normalised ratio (INR), herewith blood flow assessment is involved. Laser doppler flowmetry on anterior surface of a mid-third of shin enables to evaluate peak oscillation amplitude of myogenic, neurogenic and respiratory components. The index T is calculated by formula considering the INR and the peak amplitudes of said components obtained prior to and after surgical procedure. The value T<0.40 enables to predict development of thromboembolic complications.
EFFECT: method ensures to predict development of thromboembolic complications following abdominal surgeries and to mark out a group of patients who require early prevention of thromboembolic complications in postoperative period that aims at micro blood flow improvement.
