METHOD FOR TREATING MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61F9/13

Abstract RU 2367397 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Laser keratomileusis in situ is performed with corneal graft resection enabled by a femtosecond laser. IntraLasik. Diametre of the corneal graft is 8.0 - 9.5 mm, thickness is 90 - 120 mcm, and the angle determining width of a corneal graft pedicle is 45 to 90 degrees. It is followed with excimer laser ablation. If myopia is up to 3 dioptres, maximum diametre of an optical zone is specified 6.5 mm, in myopia 3.5-6 dioptres - 6.3 to 6.4 mm, in myopia 6 to 12 dioptres - 6.1 to 6.2 mm, diametre of a transitive zone is 2.0 to 2.5 mm, total ablation diametre is 8.3 to 9.0 mm. In patients 18 to 25 years old, excimer laser ablation procedure is carried out on refraction evidence in cycloplegia plus 0.75 dioptres, 26 to 35 years old - plus 0.5 dioptres, 36 to 42 years old on refraction evidence in cycloplegia, after 42 years old - it is calculated at the patients' discretion: if better far vision is required, calculation is on refraction evidence in cycloplegia, if better close vision is preferred - on refraction evidence in cycloplegia minus 2.0-2.5 dioptres.

EFFECT: method allows optimising radiation parameters, enhancing functional results, reduces risk of postoperative complications and induction of postoperative aberrations.
