METHOD FOR TREATING HIGH-DEGREE HYPERMETROPIA AND ASTIGMATISM IN CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS AT ANISOMETROPIA Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2308922 C2

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: for forming corneal epithelial cap one should apply a trepan the blunt edge of which should be oriented to 12 o'clock. Then it is necessary to affect with alcoholic solution and with the help of a spatula one should exfoliate the epithelium as a whole micro-fragment. Ablation should be fulfilled at the diameter of optic area being 6.5 mm and due to decreasing the dosage of irradiation depending upon initial data of refraction. After that one should wash the cornea with balanced solution cooled up to 10°C. Epithelial fragment should be put back to its place to apply soft lens cooled up to 10°C. Since the 1st d of post-surgical period it is necessary to affect with weak magnetic fields and weak impulse light till complete corneal epithelization followed by removing the contact lens. The innovation is safe, high predictable and efficient way of correction, it enables to obtain normal and similar vision in both eyes and, also, reconstruct binocular character of vision in children and teenagers in case of high-degree hypermetropia and astigmatism at anisometropia.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
