FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes applying of the lower layer consisting from nitride or carbonitride of the titanium, chromium and iron at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 87.2-88.7, chromium 10.0-11.2, iron 1.3-1.6, intermediate layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride of titanium, chromium, zirconium and iron compound at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 77.5-81.1, chromium 6.7-7.4, zirconium 11.3-14.0, iron 0.9-1.1, upper layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride of titanium, chromium and aluminium compound at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 68.0-73.0, chromium 10.0-11.0, zirconium 17.0-21.0. Three cathodes horizontally positioned in one plane are used. The first cathode is made composite from titanium and iron, second cathode is made composite from titanium and zirconium and is positioned opposite to the first one and the third cathode is made composite from titanium and chromium and is positioned between them .
EFFECT: workability enhancing of the cutting tools.
