FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes applying of the lower layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride of the titanium, zirconium and iron compounds at their ratio (wt %): titanium 86.5-88.2, zirconium 10.0-11.0, iron 1.8-2.5, intermediate layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride of titanium, zirconium, aluminium and iron compound at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 81.5-83.2, zirconium 6.7-7.5, aluminium 8.9-9.3, iron 1.2-1.7, upper layer consisting of nitride or carbonitride of the titanium, zirconium and aluminium at their ratio (wt %): - titanium 75.4-76.6, zirconium 10.0-11.6, aluminium 13.4-14.0. Three cathodes horizontally positioned in one plane are used. The first cathode is made composite from titanium and iron, the second one is made composite from titanium and aluminium and is positioned opposite to the first one and the third cathode is made composite from titanium and zirconium and is positioned between them.
EFFECT: workability enhancing of the cutting tools.
