FIELD: machine building, gas distribution.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of obtaining liquefied gas and separating it into components and can used in gas and oil extraction and processing industry in metallurgy, chemical and other engineering fields. The method of liquefying gas involves its adiabatic cooling in a supersonic nozzle and collection of the formed liquid phase. The condensation point of the liquid phase is exposed to an electric field with possibility of moving the formed liquid phase to the walls of the nozzle. The liquid phase is collected through a perforation in the wall of the nozzle or an annular slit, situated from the dew point at a distance defined by the equation L=V·τ, where L - is the distance from the dew point to the point where liquid phase falls on the wall of the nozzle, V - is the average flow rate on that section, τ - is time taken by droplets of the liquid phase to move from one wall of the nozzle to the other.
EFFECT: more efficient gas liquefaction.
