FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: inventions are related to radiolocating equipment and may be used in development of projectile initial speed metres. Specified result is achieved due to detection of projectile by detector of signals of narrow-band frequency spectrum, and also by the fact that moment of projectile flying over beginning of available time interval is established by beginning tdet1 of signal appearance and detection in radiolocating station (RLS) with frequency difference, generated after multiplication of radiated signal with corresponding parametres, with received radiated signal reflected from projectile moving away from RLS, and moment of projectile flying over the end of available time interval is established by beginning tdet2 of appearance and detection of signal on RLS with the same difference frequency at the moment, when between RLS and projectile moving away from it, the distance will be established defined from appropriate condition. RLS for measurement of projectile initial speed comprises transceiver antenna, transmitter of continuous signal with frequency modulation by single-sided serrated linearly decaying law, mixer, filter of difference frequencies, detector of signals of narrow-band frequency spectrum arranged in a certain manner, metre of time interval and calculator of projectile initial speed, joined by appropriate manner to each other.

EFFECT: reduced weight-dimension and cost characteristics of projectile initial speed metres.
