SUBSTANCE: measured base is displaced to minor distance to gun barrel section. Proposed radar comprises transceiving antenna arranged at gun barrel with transmitting input connected via delay element to high-power output of the source of continuous signal frequency-modulated by unilateral saw-like linearly negative-going law and receiving input is connected to first input of mixer with its second input connected to low-power transmitter output and its output connected via difference frequency filter to second mixer second input, as well as first continuous frequency generator, broadband filter, limiting amplifier, narrowband filter, amplitude detector, comparator, pulse generator, time interval meter, projectile muzzle velocity computer and, if required, second continuous frequency generator, analog switch and trigger.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement.
