SUBSTANCE: invention is related to printing device, in particular to printing device of speed recorder for cargo transport. Printing device for tachograph comprises body, printing unit, unit of carrier for installation of carrier, besides unit of carrier is arranged as movable relative to printing unit along input curve that circumscribes input direction, for displacement into working position and opposite to input direction for withdrawal from working position, besides carrier unit may be extended partially from body, and carrier unit in body is fixed by means of fixing unit in working position, fixing unit comprises movable fixing element, which may be displaced into fixation position and release position, besides fixing element in fixation position is engaged with retaining element. Fixing element is arranged with the possibility of forward displacement transversely to input direction into fixation position and release position. Fixing unit has carriage mounted on sliding supports, which carries single fixing element and may be shifted into fixation position and into release position, moreover, fixing element is fixed on carriage and is substantially located perpendicular to direction of carriage displacement.
