FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to procedure of magnetic record and is intended for erasure of record from magnetic carriers of information, mostly from hard disks, by means of their magnetisation. Device for record erasure on magnetic carrier comprises the following components: source of DC voltage, switch, two generators of rectangular pulses, two electronic switches, two capacitance accumulators, two damping devices, two electronic switchboards, field-producing system, device of start-up and button of start-up. Field-producing system comprises two solenoids, which are made of conductors in the form of the first and second flat logarithmic spirals with direct and reverse logarithmation. Solenoids are installed and fixed coaxially from two sides of flat dielectric plate. Voltage source with its terminal is connected to the following inputs: switch, generators, electronic switches and start-up device. Ground of power supply source is connected to the following outputs: switch, generators, electronic switches, accumulators, damping devices, solenoids and field-producing system. In working position body of magnetic carrier is installed coaxially to spirals of solenoids on top on field-producing system.

EFFECT: quadruple reduction of field-producing system volume and double reduction of required time of single interaction with information carrier for its destruction.
