SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical and radio engineering. The method is characterised by that, at the beginning of the process of charging the battery (2) and during the entire process, the charge level of different accumulators (1) is constantly monitored and depending on preliminary evaluation of the said charge level, current is either uniformly supplied to all accumulators (1) or the charge level of accumulators is balanced through differential current supply to the accumulators depending on their present charge level.

EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of the battery, shorter charging time.
