FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to a method of charging lithium-ion accumulator batteries, and can be used in operation of lithium-ion accumulator batteries, mainly as power supply elements of electric vehicles and accumulators of intelligent power supply networks. Method of lithium-ion accumulator charging from n-series-connected cells using passive method of balancing is performed by discharge to ballast resistances, at that, charging process is stopped when one of cells of threshold maximum voltage is reached, range is also set, which determines duration of next discharge of selected accumulators until coincidence of level with current voltage of accumulators, when balancing resistor is disconnected, at that, balancing cycle is completed by disconnection of the last of included balancing resistors. Besides, in the proposed method, the number of balancing cycles is determined by the moment, when the next shutdown of the charge upon achievement of voltages of any of the specified maximum value is not accompanied by connection of a balancing resistor.

EFFECT: high efficiency of using a multi-element series-connected storage battery by reducing the difference between maximum and minimum voltage among all series-connected storage cells after charging, is the technical result of the invention.
