FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology, and is intended for prostate gland cancer diagnostics. Measurement of anterior-posterior size of prostate gland in quiet state and under compression with transrectal ultrasound sensor is performed. Compressivity index is determined by ratio of value of anterior-posterior size of prostate gland in quiet state to similar value obtained under compression of prostate gland. Decrease of compressivity index to 1.04±0.03 mm and lower is diagnosed as prostate gland cancer.
EFFECT: method allows to ensure objective diagnostics of prostate gland cancer, increase quality of diagnostic examination, ensure possibility to control treatment results in case of presence of prostate gland cancer.
