FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises PNC-controlled gear cutting station with tool and workpiece spindles. Proposed device comprises at least one vertical preliminary machining station with tool and workpiece spindles. In gear cutting, workpiece spindle and gear wheel workpiece are located above or below the tool spindle with gear cutting tool. Gear cutting station and preliminary machining station make mechanical functional unit. Note here that proposed device allows transfer of workpiece machined at preliminary processing station to PNC-controlled gear cutting station. Note also that both stations are interconnected via control unit.
EFFECT: simplified method and higher efficiency.
