FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to labour hygiene and prevention of professional diseases, and can find application in selection of personnel for operator professions according to the level of psychophysical indices level. Tested person is examined by means of complex of psychophysiological procedures and Cattel test, determined are indices of brain workability, logical thinking, steadiness of nervous processes, attention, ability for prediction, operative thinking, long-term memory, rate of proceeding of thinking processes during operation with number material, as well as indices C and Q3 by Cattel test. Indices in form of ratio of number of correctly done tasks to spent time are used, and tested person is considered suitable for operator work if number of mistakes made by them while fulfilling procedures does not exceed four, than allowable values of evaluated indices.

EFFECT: method allows to evaluate professional appropriateness of tested person for operator work immediately after psychophysiological examination and select the most promising candidates for working places.
