FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: in diagnosing sleeper elements, voltage between rails and leakage current are measured. Currents flowing through top and bottom insulating elements of each of two stop bolts of another rail are measured, resistance of each of aforesaid elements is calculated by dividing the voltage between rails by the current flowing through corresponding insulating element of each stop bolt. Leakage currents through each stop bolt are calculated by dividing the voltage between rails by the sum of resistance of top and bottom insulating elements. Resistance of insulating gasket laid under the strip by dividing the voltage between rails by leakage current difference with components of current through sleeper via stop bolts. Obtained magnitudes of resistance of insulating elements are compared with appropriate tolerances to judge upon faulty elements.
EFFECT: higher validity of control.
