FIELD: wood processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood processing industry, namely to veneer drying. Being transported along the table a veneer sheet is supplied to the rollers; the veneer sheet is heated on the one side with the radiant energy flow generated by halogen lamps, for example as well as with the help of conductive method by the hot roller. Thus temperature field gradient is provided resulting in the transfer of moisture to the areas with lower temperature, i.e. transfer of moisture to the lower veneer sheet side. The veneer sheet is simultaneously treated by ultrasonic vibrations which facilitate more effective moisture transfer.
EFFECT: invention is to reduce power consumption during wood drying.
