METHOD OF NOSE DEFECT RECONSTRUCTION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used in surgical treatment of malignant neoplasms of external nose skin. Essence of method consists in dissection of pathologic nidus and cutting out medial or paramedical frontal flap preserving feeding pedicle. Preliminarily template of affected region is made, which is applied on donor area. In sub-aponeurotic space frontal flap on feeding pedicle is cut, which includes supratrochlear right or left artery, section of eyebrow-wrinkling muscle with preservation of main feeding vessels is resected. In place of glabella subcutaneous tunnel is formed, epidermis on flap pedicle is removed, it is passed through tunnel. Then it is sewn with separate sutures into defect zone, donor wound is sutured layer by layer tightly.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention allows to perform radical removal of nose skin tumor; restore wide defect of whole nose surface with one flap during one operation stage; eliminate long pre- and post-operation care; completely restore anatomical form of nose; improve esthetic result of reconstructive plastic operations.
