FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to powder metallurgy, particularly to production of high density material out of aluminium powder by means of uniform-channel angular compaction (UCAC). A raw work piece is formed out of aluminium powder, is heated to 380-420°C and placed into a mould for UCAC heated to temperature of the work piece; the mould has a movable bottom of the outlet channel. Force equal to force of compaction is applied to the work piece; further, the work piece is held under load and UCAC is carried out repeatedly maintaining direction of shifting and preventing outflow of work-piece material till formation of fine grain structure.
EFFECT: material possesses high strength at minimal number of compacting runs.
