FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the pressing of powder mixtures of metal-ceramic, mineral-ceramic and refractory materials. It can be used for the manufacture of products of large sizes and complex shapes. Powder of a refractory material, which is an alloy based on a refractory metal, or a metal-ceramic alloy, or oxide ceramics with a grain size from 3 mcm to 30 mcm, is subjected to cold isostatic pressing without a plasticizer at a pressure of 0.8 to 1.5 GPa.
EFFECT: invention provides production of powder press workpieces with a high density of up to 70% and with a significant proportion of grains with a submicron size.
