FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of nitrogen containing alloys produced by method of self propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) and designed for alloying steel and iron; it can be used at production of shaped castings. Alloy contains, wt %: vanadium 2.0-18.0; manganese 0.5-4.0, nitrogen 8.0-12.0, silicon 10.0-30.0, carbon 0.1-2.5, aluminium 0.1-1.5, niobium 0.1-5.0, calcium 0.1-1.5, chromium 0.5-5.0, titanium 0.1-5.0, and iron - the rest. New composition of alloy contains optimal ratio of amount of basic elements and micro-additives of carbo- and nitride-forming elements applied at production of steel and iron.

EFFECT: alloy possesses high process and operational properties with expanded utilisation for alloying wide range of grade composition of structural steel of various classes of hardness and designation.
