FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of titanium alloys, namely, to producing aluminium and vanadium nitride-based nitrogen-containing materials for titanium foundry alloys. Powders of V-A1 industrial alloy with particle size not exceeding 500 mcm are placed into SHS-reactor to initiate combustion reaction be performing local heating of said powder to reaction start temperature. Nitration is carried out in combustion at initial nitrogen pressure of 0.5-10.0 MPa, and nitrogen pressure in reactor is maintained at the level of 0.5-5.0 MPa till reaction termination by blowing nitrogen into reactor. Nitrated material with nitrogen content of 15-25 wt % consists of aluminium nitride, vanadium nitrides VN and V2N distributed in material at the level of crystallites with particle size of 5-20 mcm.

EFFECT: higher content of nitrogen, simplified procedure.
