FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises part parametres input device, parametres computation device, parametres storage and rupture conditions computation unit. Proposed method comprises defining and inputting all welded part parametres, computing breaking strength, storing aforesaid breaking strength and estimating it for every steel type by introducing stored breaking strength into rupture forecasting formula. Note here that strain at point weld boundary is simulated using the finite element method.
