FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: atomisation of an analyte is done in a cycle which has at least two stages (evaporation - fractional condensation - atomisation) using an electrically heated graphite or metallic crucible as an evaporator. Vapour of the sample from the heated electrothermal evaporator fractionally condenses on the cooler surface of the atomiser, made in form of a heating element from heat-resistant current-conducting material with possibility of independent heating using a controlled current source and placed over the outlet opening of the evaporator with possibility of displacement and subsequent re-evaporation of the analysed sample from the heated surface of the heating element.
EFFECT: reduced matrix interference and increased reproducibility of spectrochemical analysis results.
