FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: measurement of parametres of the energy spectrum of a signal is done so as to determine values of readings of the pulse characteristics of a filter, which allows for maximum efficiency filtering. A fast-Fourier-transform algorithm is applied to a received image. The square modulus is then calculated, thereby obtaining readings of the energy spectrum. These readings are then multiplied with readings of a sampled function cos(iφx + jφy), where corresponding index values (i, j) are used for each coefficient. For each coefficient, energy at the output of each measurement channel is calculated using value of energy of the input signal and energy from the output for each measurement channel. Values of coefficients of Fourier cosine transformation of the energy spectrum, standardised to the input energy, are calculated.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring parametres of the energy spectrum of a signal in real time and easier realisation using modern hardware components.
