FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: energy spectrum of an input image is measured first. The input image then undergoes adaptive spatial filtering and then compared with a standard image of an object. Further, energy spectrum of the input image is measured. An adaptive spatial discrete filter is then synthesised and the input image is then filtered by the synthesised filter. Further, the filtered image is compared with a threshold and a binary image of the object and the background is obtained, a binary image with a wider region of the object is obtained, and through dilatation of the object, the image of the region of interest is obtained. The energy spectrum of the image of the region of interest is then measured.
EFFECT: high probability of correct detection and faster recognition of objects on the inhomogeneous background of digital images.
