FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing multidimensional signals and can be used in analysis and synthesis of filters for processing images. An input image in digital form is transmitted into an input energy measuring channel and channels for measuring energy spectrum parametres. Pair-wise products of brightness readings are calculated in the channels for measuring energy spectrum parametres. The obtained products are accumulated while processing the entire image signal and are then doubled. Further, in the input energy measuring channel, products of brightness readings of the input image with identical indices are calculated, which are sent to an accumulating unit for the forming sum and an accumulation unit in which the obtained products are accumulated while processing the entire image signal and are then doubled. The forming sum is calculated from accumulated sums of each parametre measuring channel. Using energy values of the input signal and difference values from outputs of each measuring channel, values of parametres of the energy spectrum of the image are calculated.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring parametres of the energy spectrum of a signal in real time mode.
