METHOD OF OBTAINING GENETICALLY PURE SEEDS OF MOTHER FORM FOR SUNFLOWER HYBRID Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A01H1/04 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in field of plant selection and seed growing for obtaining genetically pure hybrid seed grain and relates to method of obtaining genetically pure seeds of mother form for sunflower hybrid based on principle of temporary isolation of crops during the phase of their blooming to avoid their cross-pollination with other forms of sunflower. Method includes sowing of seeds at early relative to optimal for given region terms and growing of plants first in protected in comparison with natural for said terms conditions, and after that in open soil. According to method seeds of sterile analogue and fixing agent of sterility of hybrid mother form are sown into filled with soil planting pots, seedlings are grown in them in heated greenhouse at temperature 25-35°C until the phase of 2 pairs of true leaves, then seedlings are planted into open soil according to scheme 6:2, where 6 rows of sterile analogue alternate with 2 rows of sterility fixing agent, and are grown in natural conditions. Before planting into open soil seedlings are preliminarily conditioned to cold, by gradual reduction of temperature and air humidity in greenhouse. While planting seedlings into open soil slight watering of plants is performed.

EFFECT: method allows to extend arsenal of used methods and means for ensuring timely isolation of sunflower plants during the phase of their blooming from cross-pollination with its other forms.
