DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR INITIAL MANIFESTATIONS OF LEFT VENTRICULAR DIASTOLIC DYSFUNCTION IN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM FIRST-DEGREE ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B8/06 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, namely cardiology, and can be used for diagnostics of the most initial manifestations of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. It is ensured by measuring the rapid filling period of left ventricle and estimating the time interval of said period considering high-amplitude reflected motion signals (HRMS) recorded from the left heart. An ultrasonic cardiac sensor of insonation frequency 2-4 MHz is arranged in apical positions with 4-chamber section of heart. The discrete-wave Doppler imaging mode is activated with the reference volume specified at 4 cm to the left of lateral end of ring of mitral valve. The curve of high-amplitude reflected motion signals is recorded then, and the time interval relevant to the rapid filling of left ventricle (Ea(v)). If it is 180 ms and more, initial diastolic malfunction of left ventricle myocardium is diagnosed.

EFFECT: declared method allows for diagnostics of the most initial manifestations of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.
