FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy field, particularly to content of steel of increased quality, provided for manufacturing of solid-rolled wheel of wheel pairs of passenger-car trucks of main-line railways. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, vanadium, niobium, phosphorus, sulphur, nickel, chrome, copper, titanium an iron at following correlation of components, wt %: carbon 0.48-0.54, manganese 0.80-1.20, silicon 0.45-0.65, vanadium 0.08-0.20, niobium 0.02-0.05, phosphorus not more than 0.030, sulphur not more than 0.020, nickel not more than 0.25, chrome not more than 0.25, copper not more than 0.25, titanium up to 0.01, iron is the rest.
EFFECT: there are increased mechanical properties, fatigue strength, wear resistance and fracture strength of solid-rolled wheel.
