FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical tactile sensor has a tactile part, which has a transparent flexible case and several markers on the case, and several image formation devices for obtaining image of the marker by photographing the behaviour of the markers when an object is in contact with the tactile surface of the transparent flexible case. The method of using the optical tactile sensor comprises stages for obtaining a partial image by photographing partial regions A, B, C and D of the transparent flexible case using several image formation devices such that, each of the said devices has an image overlapping region, and combining partial images obtained using each image formation device such that, identical markers in the image overlapping region correspond to each other.
EFFECT: obtaining information and formation of an entire image using markers, which enables measurement of distribution of forces on a large area.
