FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical system of an input device comprises: an image sensor for entering an image into the region of an object lying under the input device; an objective lens; a light source, where the field of view of the image sensor is shifted from the optical axis of the component of the objective lens by an angle i.e. it is essentially parallel to the axis of the input device to the surface. The shifted optical system with infrared illumination processes the viewpoint and helps detect positional coding, which when illuminated by visible light may be covered with ink.
EFFECT: reduced effect of the viewpoint when images are captured on the surface, input of hand-written electronic ink and possibility of linking electronic ink to new or stored documents.
