FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coated superhard abrasive materials for use in abrasive tools. The material contains a core or substrate made from superhard abrasive material based on diamond or cubic boron nitride, an inner layer made from metal carbide, nitride or boride, chemically bonded with the outer surface of the superhard abrasive material, and an outer layer made from metal carbonitride, deposited on the inner layer.
EFFECT: obtained material binds main particles together and provides for their resistance to oxidation during sintering and subsequent use in tools.
