FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves impact loading a spacecraft model and recording shock spectra of accelerations in mounting places of the model with subsequent correction of the spectra. Residual deformations appear on components of the spacecraft during non-standard impact loading. Impact velocity of the spacecraft is established first, after which impact similar to impact of standard spacecraft is provided using the spacecraft model. In addition to shock spectra of accelerations, transfer functions of impact spectra of accelerations from the point of impact to places where the spacecraft is mounted are obtained on the spacecraft model. Further, residual deformations on components of standard spacecraft and on corresponding components of the model are compared. Compensation factors for the shock spectrum of accelerations at the point of impact are determined. Recorded shock spectra of accelerations are then corrected at inspection points on the spacecraft model and shock spectra of accelerations for standard spacecraft are obtained using a formula, after which the obtained shock spectra of accelerations are compared with permissible spectra, and possibility of further use of the standard spacecraft is determined.
EFFECT: possibility of evaluating effect of non-standard impact loads on spacecraft.
