FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to methods of determining intracranial pressure (ICP). Mechanical sways of patient's head are registered during 5-10 seconds and are converted into electric signal by sensor located near patient's frontal bone, with further calculation of ratio of energy constituent of spectrum frequency range 3Hz to frequency spectrum from 0.5 to 46 Hz and diagnostics of high ICP if value of calculated ratio index is higher than 20%. Registration of mechanical sways is carried out when patient is in lateral recumbent position with loosely fixed head vertically fastened with elastic band. Sensor is installed in the middle of frontal part of the head, orienting sensor axis perpendicular to patient's body axis.

EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for determining ICP.
