FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in pediatrics as method for estimating life quality of teenagers and children over 10 years old with obesity or metabolic syndrome (MS). Inquiry is carried out and life quality level is determined in points by questionnaire data. Questionnaire includes questions revealing state of physical health, psychological and social adaptation of child. If total number of points equals or exceeds 42, life quality level is estimated as bad, if total number of points is within 37-41, life quality level is unsatisfactory, if total number of points is within 32-36, life quality level is lower than satisfactory, if total number of points is lower than 32, life quality level is satisfactory.
EFFECT: method allows to increase accuracy and objectivity of estimation of life quality of teenagers and children over 10 years old with obesity or MS.
