SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to pediatrics, and can be used for non-invasive screening of the presence of insulin resistance in adolescents. To do this, the circumference of the breast and height are measured in adolescents. The anthropometric index “breast circumference to height” is determined. Then the probability of a teenager having insulin resistance is calculated according to the proposed formula. With p greater than 0.534, it is concluded that the teenager is likely to have insulin resistance.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the presence of insulin resistance in adolescents at the outpatient stage of examination and during the medical examination of adolescents.
