SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and discloses an intramedullary rod for external and transosseous osteosynthesis. The intramedullary rod is characterised by being made of medical polymer materials, containing an internal thread located on the proximal section, and containing an internal metal insert located in the central part of the rod.
EFFECT: invention can be used in osteosynthesis of long bones in mammals.
