FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: artificial eye lenses are made of a biocompatible polymer material, contain an optical element with a front surface and a back surface. The optical element has a shape factor described as total curvature of the front surface and curvature of the back surface divided by the difference of curvature of the front surface and the back surface. Method of eye lens formation contains the stages: stage of errors function definition (RxError), characterising the changes provoked by lenses in the whole range of patients, by estimating the changes provoked by the error in evaluating the biometric data (ΔBiometric), estimating the changes provoked by the error in evaluating the focal power (ΔIOLPower), and also the changes provoked by aberrations (ΔAbberration) wherein effort function is described by formula
and stage of choice of such lens shape factor whereat error function is the least.
EFFECT: application of given group of inventions allows providing steady optical characteristics.
